Velvet Stones
Photographs of various sizes, partially covered by painting, depicting two of my previous lovers/partners. Gazing at them in non-stage intimates moments was a way to gaze at masuculinities, and question power dynamics related to gender. Painting on their bodies was a way to recover from relationships damaged by toxic masculinity, to reaffirm my independence and identity, and to question the subjectivity of memory. and carefree moments.
